“I have over 30 potted plants on a Manhattan rooftop — trees, flowers, vegetables and herbs. I’ve been using Green Mountain Compost for years. I don’t even use potting soil. I simply cut the compost with a lot of perlite, some sphagnum peat moss, some manure, maybe some green sand, blood meal, bone meal, depending on what I’m growing. I make my own compost, but not enough for the garden. Love this stuff, and so do my plants!”
