Garth Gaboriault

Garth is our heavy equipment operator and go-to repair guy. When not turning or screening compost, he’s often fixing a piece of equipment, moving irrigation lines, making a delivery, or loading a customer. Garth has been with Green Mountain Compost (GMC) and CSWD since 2009. When not at work Garth enjoys running his chainsaws, hunting with his sons, and mud bogging in one of his Ford pickups.

Norman Gordon

Norm is our senior equipment operator and compost ‘Brewmaster’ extraordinaire. After 30 years of dairy farming, Norm joined Intervale Compost/GMC in 1997 and has been in charge of blending our compost ever since. It’s Norm’s 14 years of experience and know how that keep the place running day-to-day. When not driving the loader, Norm enjoys snowmobiling, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Dan Goossen

Dan started at Intervale Compost in 2003 and took on the role of General Manager starting in 2008. Dan spends a lot of time stuck in front of the computer but loves getting out to turn, screen, or bag compost whenever he gets the chance. When not at GMC, Dan enjoys growing his own food, home brewing, and spending time in Latin America.

Jennifer Baer

Jen’s got the jack-of-all-trades job. From Sales to Marketing to Research, she keeps the pulse of what’s going on at all times. Our newest full-time team member at GMC, Jen has been with us since 2010. When not selling compost, Jen enjoys playing outside, spending time with her family, music and travel.

Green Mountain Compost is supported by a terrific team of part time and seasonal staff, as well as the full staff of Chittenden Solid Waste District.
