GMC Website and Social Media Comments Policy

The Green Mountain Compost website, blog, Facebook page and other Social Media outlets serve as forums to provide information and foster public discussion on GMC policies and practices. We encourage you to share your comments, ideas, and concerns.

CSWD/GMC reserves the right to review all comments on this site before posting, and may at our discretion choose not to post comments. We reserve the right to remove any comments that have been posted on this website, and to remove Facebook comments as we deem necessary.

We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. Given the need to manage government resources effectively, however, we will review comments and post them from 9:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. We will read and post comments submitted after hours, on weekends, or on holidays as early as possible the next business day.

Standards of Conduct

We expect that participants will treat each other with respect. We reserve the right not to post comments that contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups. Likewise, we reserve the right not to post comments that are clearly off-topic, that promote services or products, or that make unsupported accusations.

We ask that reporters send questions to CSWD/GMC through normal channels and refrain from submitting questions on the website as comments. We will not post questions from reporters.
